2010 Olympic Opportunities

As you are likely aware, Richmond’s status as a Venue City grants our community unique access to celebrations, events and programs associated with the 2010 Games. In developing programs targeted for Richmond businesses in particular, our efforts have emphasized on leveraging the 2010 Games to re-enforce our long term goals towards growth in business, investment and employment.

The City of Richmond will also welcome the world to the official celebration site for the 2010 Games, the O Zone, which will help introduce our community to the world and boost tourism and economic development. The O Zone hospitality plans include an extensive corporate hosting element, offering a wide range of hosting packages to Richmond businesses, from employee recognition and team building options, to corporate VIP hosting choices.

And last but not least, the “Paint the Town Red” program offers an opportunity for the Richmond business community to activate during the 2010 Games. It is a chance to proudly “wear our red” and provides a vehicle to share the excitement, celebrate Canadian spirit and support Canadian athletes during the Games.[Download PDF]

All Richmond businesses are encouraged to participate in as many of these initiatives as possible to leverage the synergies of 2010 Games programs to open, strengthen or form relationships with suppliers, clients, partners, employees and other business stakeholders locally and abroad.
