Craig Jones to Retire as Richmond Chamber of Commerce Executive Director

Outgoing Executive Director Craig Jones is leaving the Richmond Chamber of Commerce after nearly a decade at the helm of the leading business organization in Richmond.

RICHMOND, B.C. (Nov 27, 2014) –  After nine years as the Executive Director of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Craig Jones is retiring as of January 1, 2015.

The Board expresses its sincere appreciation for the many years of dedication and leadership that Mr. Jones has provided the Richmond Business Community. “Craig leaves a legacy of outstanding achievement” said Board Chair, Gerard Edwards. “Craig has enhanced the Richmond Chambers reputation provincially, nationally, and here in the lower mainland as a progressive advocacy leader on issues important to not just to Richmond, but the entire region. We will miss the knowledge, experience and passion that Craig brought to the organization and we wish him well.

Upon announcing his retirement, Jones said “It has been a pleasure to work at the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, with the Board, various committees, diverse membership, and the thousands of exciting businesses who call Richmond home. I am proud of what the Chamber has accomplished in the last decade and I wish my successor all the best moving forward.”

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce will appoint Carol Young as the acting Executive Director as of January 1, 2015 as it begins its search for a new Executive Director.
