|Susan Yurkovich is President and CEO of the BC Council of Forest Industries. She also serves as President of the BC Lumber Trade Council representing the interests of the BC forest industry on trade matters, including the Canada-U.S. Softwood Lumber Agreement. Born and raised in Richmond, Ms. Yurkovich has worked in the natural resources sector for more than 25 years. She currently serves as a Director of Centerra Gold, Governor of the Business Council of BC, Director of Vancouver College, and a member of the Faculty Advisory Board at UBC’s Sauder School of Business.
President & CEO, Canadian LNG Alliance
|Bryan Cox is the President and CEO of the Canadian LNG Alliance. As the leading voice and advocate for the LNG industry in Canada, Bryan leads a team actively working with governments, business leaders, Indigenous leaders, communities, and the broader public to realize the opportunity to build a world-leading LNG industry for the benefit of all Canadians.
In 2020, Bryan led the evolution of the BC LNG Alliance into a new national voice as the Canadian LNG Alliance. Prior to joining the Alliance, Bryan was the President and CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC), leading the Association’s effort to position the industry as a global leader in responsible development and critical contributor to society’s transition to a lower carbon economy.

|Michael Goehring joined the Mining Association of British Columbia as President and CEO in 2019.
Mr. Goehring brings more than 20 years’ experience providing public affairs and strategic communications counsel to many of Canada’s leading natural resource companies. He joined MABC following a successful career as a partner in the Vancouver office of Canada’s largest communications firm.
Michael has built a strong reputation for advancing challenging public policy files and delivering successful advocacy and communications campaigns. He brings expertise in a number of communications disciplines, including reputation management, issues and crisis management, corporate relations, media relations, stakeholder and community relations, government relations, advocacy and regulatory affairs.
President & CEO, BC Chamber of Commerce
|Previous to his role with the BC Chamber of Commerce, Val served as CEO of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce for three years.
During this time, he grew its membership base, launched a world-class educational partnership with the Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria (which was featured on Forbes.com) and reinvigorated the Chamber’s brand to the point where Whistler had one of the fastest growing membership bases last year.
In 2007, Val co-founded a first-to-market concept, Blo Blow Dry Bar, which has since grown to more than 70 locations worldwide.
In 2011, as Vice President of Franchise Operations at Nurse Next Door, Canada’s largest homecare company, he helped drive the franchise system’s fast growth into the US market – adding almost 70 locations to the brand in under 3 years.
