You’ve been asked to prepare a presentation that will convince someone to buy your product or accept your ideas. As you stand to speak, your mouth is dry, your hands shake, and you wonder how those words you’ve rehearsed will ever make it out of your mouth. This nervousness is not unusual. It may be something that you or your employees struggle with. Many people are uncomfortable speaking in front of others, whether it is to a group of three co-workers or to thousands at a convention.
We are very pleased to bring you and your team the opportunity to participate in the Toastmasters International Speechcraft program, which is designed to help speakers overcome nervousness, and how to create and give dynamic speeches.
This is a six-session interactive workshop, delivered virtually via Zoom. Participants will learn to prepare and present speeches, as well as how to handle impromptu speaking situations. Participants will study and practice these skills in a friendly, non-threatening environment with the help of experienced, knowledgeable, non-judgmental Toastmasters. The program is presented in partnership with the Richmond Toastmasters Club and the Unicorn Tribe Toastmasters Club.
This virtual meeting requires the use of a camera and microphone. Spaces are limited. Only one participant may register per enterprise. Participants must commit to the full six week course schedule.
Thursdays, beginning January 21, 2021; 5:00pm – 7:00pm
