Looking for a way to connect with fellow Chamber members but tired of staring at your computer screen? We hear you. Every Friday this summer, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce is pleased to organize a group of Chamber members (and/or their staff) for a light walk in one of Richmond’s many beautiful vistas. Each walk will be 30 minutes to an hour at an easy pace and give you a chance to introduce yourself to new contacts, and connect with old friends. Chamber staff will be leading the group, and help kick off the conversation. Register to receive our starting point and route map. These events are free, limited, and exclusive to Chamber members. Advanced registration is required.
Safety Guidelines:
We take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and consider it a community responsibility to keep each other safe and slow the spread. As such, we are only conducting smaller outdoor gatherings (at the recommendation of Dr. Bonnie Henry and Vancouver Coastal Health) and ask our guests to abide by the following:
August 28th – Garden City Lands
Meet & Greet: 12:00pm
Walk departs: 12:10pm (group will not wait for late-comers)
Rendezvous point: Will be shared with registrants in advance
What to expect: This walk is approximately 2.9km, on gravel and paved pathway. Walkers should wear sensible walking shoes and dress for the weather (including sun protection). The Garden City Lands are an extraordinary 55.2 hectares (136.5 acres) of open space located within the Agricultural Land Reserve, in the heart of Richmond, between Westminster Highway, Alderbridge Way, Garden City Way and No. 4 Road. The Garden City Lands feature urban agriculture, environmental preservation and interpretation, recreational and cultural uses.
