Walking & Talking in Garry Point Park

Looking for a way to connect with fellow Chamber members but tired of staring at your computer screen? We hear you. This summer, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce is pleased to organize a group of Chamber members (and/or their staff) for a light walk in one of Richmond’s many beautiful vistas. Each walk will be 30 minutes to an hour at an easy pace and give you a chance to introduce yourself to new contacts, and connect with old friends. Chamber staff will be leading the group, and help kick off the conversation. Register to receive our starting point and route map. These events are free, limited, and exclusive to Chamber members. Advanced registration is required.

Safety Guidelines:

We take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and consider it a community responsibility to keep each other safe and slow the spread. As such, at these outdoor gatherings, we are asking our guests to respect the following guidelines:

• Keep your space: try to maintain physical distance between you and other members of the group
• Mask at your discretion: in accordance with provincial guidelines, please use your own judgement on whether or not to wear a mask
• Stay home when ill: if you’ve experienced any symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with someone who is positive for COVID-19, or have travelled in the past 14 days, please stay home and join us at a future event
• Go no-contact: please refrain from using handshakes, or giving out business cards. We’ll be sending out a list of attendees following the event, so that you can get in touch with each other
• Be nature-smart: Wear sensible footwear and dress for the weather. Walkers attending this event do so at their own risk.

July 9th – Garry Point Park

Meet & Greet: 12:00pm

Walk departs: 12:10pm (group will not wait for late-comers)

Rendezvous point: Will be shared with registrants in advance

What to expect: This walk is approximately 1.5km (with the option of 3km), on gravel along the river in beautiful Steveston. Walkers should wear sensible walking shoes and dress for the weather (including sun protection).
